Aftermarket Autosteer for JD 7530? Fieldbee?

Considering putting autosteer on to our JD 7530 which is not autotrack ready with the FETF47 grant.

I’ve looked at the fieldbee system and had a price. How do people rate this system? Is it straight forward enough to use?

Are there any other systems people would recommend which would fit the grant?

Thanks

I’d go Ag open GPS bit more of a fiddle but will be cheaper and much much better than that Chinese tat, especially with bariki valve
I looked into this a bit back and emailed about a valve but never heard anything back so never got any further with it. Do you have any contact details for the bloke who makes the valves?
or is anybody importing them?

Thanks

Marek (Baraki) seems to go in stops and starts, combination of waiting for parts and he's a farmer too, so sometimes farm work takes precedence.
But he always delivers and sorts any issues no quibbles.

I believe he is up to date, so order now should be with you in a week.

His valves work beautifully, lovely and smooth.

You would fit a valve based AgOpenGPS system cheaper even taking any grant into account and it has all the bells and whistles with no unlocks etc.

So what runs it Reciever ,control screen Etc , and what do you get for 1700 sounds 🤔 , then it will want valves and pipe work ?
£1700 is for the gps/antenna laptop, wires, valve and hoses all finished and working. I got quoted £10k from Trimble and that was before autosteer valve.

So how accurate is it , what type of signal does it use , like sf3 Or rtk , And where do you get such set up , sounds too good to be true
CM level accuracy rtk as good as the big boys. It’s built by farmers for farmers so the ones who do make/sell the boys for it charge an honest amount, and not double/triple every time it goes through a dealer.

Check out the guide on here from @Andy26 itll have all you need to buy. It is a bit diy but is worth it. I sold my Trimble fm750 and was enough to put full system in 1 tractor, it’s a much easier to use system too

RTK is pretty much default, you can either use a free base station on RTK2Go, put your own base station up or use any commercial RTK NTRIP signal like RTK Farming etc.

Sub inch accuracy, if using your base station 14mm +1mm per km from base station.

Too good to be true, it's real and can do so much more, section control, rate control, variable rate etc.

There seems to be a market for someone to fit these kits, both this one and the Chinese versions, for us less techy folk. I would have one of these tomorrow but not confident enough to fit it. Trimble install but the cost of the kit is more than treble.
I'm with you . Sounds great but I'm not that keen on setting up and who fixes issues? The main manufacturers are just a phone call away for problems

At £70 per hour for Trimble to set things up (was my quote for section control)
Issues usually ask on this or AOGs own forum and you’ll be sorted very quickly by people who just want to help. I thought I was getting a gps but I’ve got a few good friends along with it too.
I’d be happy enough to help out anyone local to me to get a system up and running

If you find a bug in the software it's often fixed within hours, with thousands of users every day any glitches are picked up quickly and fixed.

Chances any problem you have has been encountered before and a quick post on the internet will have you going in minutes. The great thing of the community is it's daylight someone on Earth and thus you can have a problem at 2am and get help in the middle of the night.

Someone in Canada may help you at 10pm UK time, or at 2am it might be someone in Australia.

It's getting easier and easier to setup, hardest part fit most is fitting a wheel angle sensor.

If we don't need rtk accuracy for fert do you still need the base station? Will it run off the free signals? Reason I ask is that there are no base stations in our area as far as I know, and doing contract work within a 40 mile radius of home would mean taking a portable one with me. We spray with the free signals at the moment.

Yes can use free signal no problem, pass to pass will be as good as anything else you use.
