what jackpot like to calve ?

The dam is an 08 cow and carried 284 last year I think and this year was 282 and calves on her own. I had another cow ‘10 who carried a bull calf last year for 301 days. Had to pull but wasn’t too bad and the cow was fine

I've had afew magnum calves so far. He's not as easy calving as his stats suggest. Both were hard calving for ped lim heifers. I'll save my straws for cows not heifers

What age r u calving the heifers?

Around 3 year old, give or take a month. The calves were not gigantic but big enough for first timers, if that makes sense , About 45-50kgs. Think one will be a decent calve mind.

Some of Magnums calves from my friends place. He said they were easy calving for the heifers as well as the cows. That's why we decided to use Magnum as our local vet lives on Tiree so I would have to get a boat to bring her over should anything look bad. Too expensive an investment to be burying anything in the sand dunes!

I think my magnum heifer calve will be smart in a month or two. My mereside Lorenzo calves have been born easily from heifers and grow on well.

Have 4 heifers at home for ai. Can’t see any bulling at all. However there is 1 that has been roaming around and bawing since 6am this morning, no signs of sweat jumping or mucus at the tail? Any suggestions
