Sorry to hear Mr Smith wasn't well enough to go to his own sale. John his Manager was great@Hesstondriver I went to the dispersal for a few heifers. The owner wasn't fit enough to come to the sale so they rigged him a computer up so he could watch it at home. Also there stockman must be in his seventies and I guess the next generation haven't got the same enthusiasm as the last for limousin. They were all excellent cattle in very much working condition.

I'll get some soon, they go out with big frames but pretty lean, don't do them that well through the winter then let the spring grass catch them up.Do you have any pictures of these scholland? I remember last year you had outstanding growth rates, do you think it's the longer day light you get in summer up there which makes them grow when you turn them out?
