Alternatives to Sawdust

So we got the call we were expecting today, mill is closing tomorrow. I’d say we have 4 weeks worth if we cut it back as much as possible.

Is there a similar alternative? Not overly keen on going to sand. I also assume alternatives may not be available at this moment either.

Sorry for the slow update. Thought I’d got a lead on some sawdust but it’s fallen through (another mill now closed)

Ordered some envirobed for 2 weeks time. Im expecting good things.

Platts still have bagged sawdust, got half an artic coming tomorrow, ordered 2 weeks ago, got a bulker of envirobed to mix in, have found it very coarse in the past and get hock rubbing, giving it another try in case it’s changed and to eek sawdust out.

Hi, thanks for that Chas!

As an update on EnviroBed availability - there's plenty of EnviroBed Premium (with kiln dried sawdust) currently at Aylescott in Devon, and our Lydney site in Gloucestershire has loads available from later next week, however Foggs Farm in Lancashire is pretty booked up now so there's more of a lead time there! If you'd like a quote you can call 07977533203 or find out more here: https://bit.ly/EnviroPB.

Farmers are finding it is now much less dusty with the sawdust blended in and it's finer due to improved drying methods, hopefully you'll agree when you've had your loads Colin V6 and Scholsey, we'll look forward to hearing how you get on :)

Hope that helps! Thanks, Sally at EnviroSystems

is it only walking floor attic loads you deliver in? We struggle for access a little so normally take bags of sawdust but have trouble with it not staying on the beds
