Ammonium sulphate liquid

Has anyone tried this on grassland. I might be able to get some from a digestor. Analysis says 10%n and 10%s.
Could I spray some on and save on n?

Digestate is not Ammonia Sulphate (NH4), it's the liquid by-product of the digestion process containing organic Nitrogen.

However, it is a great fertilizer, however you will need to know the analysis of what you are getting, so you know how much to buy and spread.

...........should have added, 10% N looks very high to me. Unless it's from Poultry Manure or Food waste.

If it's liquid that has been through a decanter (not a press) the N tends to follow the liquid. worth checking.

Its from poultry. Yes it's the asl which is sold as a separate product to the digestate and solids. Just wondering if anyone had sprayed it onto grass?

Most I've seen have been dribbled or injected, don't think you could get the volumes needed through a sprayer.
Fair enough. I had thought about mixing some into slurry and spreading but thought I'd get better uptake of N by splitting the application hence the spraying question

As the days shorten and the ambient temperature drops, the N uptake slows.

So, I'm not sure if autumn application will give you the fast uptake. Adding to normal slurry will improve the whole but you have diluted it, so not as good as just using the higher N product at the right time of year.
