Has anyone successfully renewed theirs?
Now I wasn't fan of Brexit but the origin of this was I believe from the EU, so why do we still need it.

It is now impossible to export any livestock and while we do transport livestock over 8 hours here, no one has ever asked for it.
I cannot even remember if you have to show it for RT.

So if the tossers put too many things in the way then it looks as if it is another piece of paper no longer required?

I think this is one of those situations where EVERYONE needs to tell them to stick their transporter authorizations somewhere where the sun don't shine, cross-ways! FFS everything you do nowadays just has to be more complicated and fiddled with for no gain or reason. Somebody sitting in an office somewhere with f**k all to do thinking up new things to do to justify their job.

I got the certificate many years ago and it was only last year that a RT inspector told me that it was no good having the certificate unless I 'asked' for permission to use it.
Never knew before, still never bothered. An absolute load of bollockss.

Didn't know people bothered with this 🤔

red tractor inspector specifically asks for the transporter authorisation number, not the certificate.

There are two things here folks

The personal Certificate of Professional Competence in animal transport (over 65kms / under 8 hours) you would have sat a multiple choice test per species

This is a one off test and carries a lifetime validity

You then have to apply to have and then renew every 5 years an animal transporter authorisation . In theory this could be refused based on your track record

That's right.

I then asked which number I was supposed to use on ARAMS and they then explained the situation as @JP1 did;

I never knew about the latter point before. Apparently many others didn't either.

The point is when applying for the aurthorisation they are not accepting our certificates from the CPC in animal transport because they are not in the correct format although they do still show all the required info! :scratchhead:

Had the email yesterday to say our supplied certificates are not in the correct format. Has anyone got them reissued in block format? Email off to the North East NFU this morning to see what they say. Lantra has a form on their website which you can fill in to get a certificate reissued but they want £30 and it dosn't say which format it will come in!

Yes, took a picture of the certificate and attached to e mail, renewal came through a few days later.

I emailed lantra, they said that they could re issue them but due to gdpr regulations :banghead: they would need requests in writing from each certificate holder. I wrote a letter and everyone signed it, sent it and have heard nothing since.
