Sorry m
A ram wont change your weaning % unless you've got issues, i.e big lambs, lack of go at birth etc. The % of lambs born comes from ewe.
sorry I mean putting a exlana ram on easycare ewes to breed replacements what would the resulting ewes be like?

Is there anybody in Northern Ireland breeding exlanas to have a look at them?
No ---
The whole ethos behind the Exlana breeding program is selection through performance recorded data ,selected under pressure. All the stud breeders are all in mainland UK (at the moment)
We will have semen ready for export for this breeding season if anyone is interested

Many of the traits we breed for you wont see by a casual viewing ----you can't tell fecundity, lamb survival or worm resistance by looking at a sheep ---which is why we spend so much time and effort collecting solid data to enable selection for these traits ---see below for a link to some of the recent work on parasite resistance we have been involved with

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
