You’ll definitely need a deflector or probably better with a way of slowing the hydraulic flow right down. The converter goes a fair lick to throw sawdust 10ft
Or better still a proper feeder bucket that I just happen to have in stock🤣

We tried it. It just pours out. Could weld a plate to reduce the size of hole dropping onto conveyor if only for feed. Then deflect plate but would be tricky. Try it and see how fast it goes!

Quite like the sound of this for firing feed into large pens of sheep at lambing- save battling through them with bags. How far did it throw grain when you tried it?

I need to make a hydraulic tipping link unless it’s going on a loader

I use mine for feeding barley/maize distillers mix on top of silage. I have a peice of 1mm zintec cut that just pushes in above the hole that the barley drops onto the conveyor and you can adjust the amount by varying the distance that the plate is pushed in. It could be made longer and work as a deflector by putting a fold in the zintec to stop the feed from flinging, though I haven't needed to. It doesn't go over the feed barrier unless you carry the machine too high
