I was very sceptical when I bought a Hyundai but after 3 years of fairly regular abuse it’s still going strong. Could buy 3or4 of them for the price of similar husky or Stihl and when it gets stolen or broken I wouldn’t be too concerned ! I did buy a stihl 2in1 sharpener and the ability to keep the chain razor sharp makes all the difference

Ive got a cheapo timberpro saw and I agree it’s fine and has lasted well, not the quality of the major makes but it’s fine. However one difference is the anti vibration is terrible in comparison to my husky’s. one tank of petrol on the timber pro and I’ve had enough where as the husky’s I could use all day and not notice it.

Some people have less tolerance for vibration than others and I’d say I’m in that category.

timber pro is a 58cc and runs an 18” bar but I’d rather grab my 288xp with a 25” bar than do much with the timber pro

288 is pretty bad for vibration, 5 series is amazingly smooth, even the 3 series are a big improvement. still love the 2 series though

Stihl 200 C recently bought. 14 inch bar.
So easy to use. Less vibration. Powerful. Less hassle starting. Quieter too. No alert telling everyone what you are up to.
AP300 battery lasts 30 to 40 mins on logging, same time as my Husky petrol tank full.
Fast charger has full charge again in 15 to 20 mins.
I like the narrower chain - seems to cut through knots etc less painfully than Husky. But I will keep both going for the flexibility.

I don't know about best but had this delivered from Italy this morning, It's an OleoMac GST 250. A 25 cc 10" bar top handle. No one would sell me one in the UK, Great cos it saved me over £140. Used it this afternoon,to do a bit of hedge laying. Quite impressed.

I'm bloody tempted to buy one of those, Efco and Oleo mac are the same company now. I've an 18 inch Efco and it is a dream to start and use.
