Noticed the dog too, not great idea for farm quality assurance, wasn't even that the dog ran up he called it up.

A quater or half a million was mentioned for a drying setup....20 odd grand would get him a new mobile drier that he could use in emergencies, would have sorted his barley better than a shovel.

Maybe just the programme but he doesn't come across as being very switched on to reality.

I thought it was a good programme, had the right mix to appeal to a casual audience and farmers. Obviously you have to accept the usual reality TV BS but I know of non-farmers who enjoyed watching it.

They chose good young individuals to follow who came across as relateable and likeable, and promoted the industry well. Also it's nice to see others make silly mistakes or learn on the job as it makes me feel less inadequate when I don't know what I'm doing...
