So once you take the retirement money you check out of farming, no more payments after the one off. You had to relinquish any tenancies and give you land and are not allowed back in for sfi, cs or any other future scheme

The “retirement” scheme gave you 2.35 your previous payment in a lump sum whereas sticking with it gives approaching twice that in ever decreasing sums until it disappears up its own “A” hole.

Are you sure about that ?

No. It was a lump sum exit scheme for one year only. They aren't daft enough to let you claim all the BPS until 2027 and then hope for more money afterwards ..

One year only scheme closed in sept last year

If you’ve retired why would you be worrying about SFI or any future schemes ?
The clue is in the word Retirement

I know, I was just clarifying for still farming it was a give everything up.

Does it matter when they pay BPS? It no longer sits on my books as cashflow as it is nearly gone..
Really pleased they have come up with a replacement for BPS especially now the farmgate prices for our produce is so high and fills the gap
