Spec for Spec the same you sure? diff trans mind totally. depends what you like
Both loose money from new much the same.
Massey here but neighbours have various case similar to what ya on about.
Both got pro's n cons its more about what your happier operating at the end of the day.
Massey will be marginally ahead on power.
Massey has older Cab & controls not where plenty would rather they should have been years ago.
Case poss newer cab & its 4 post.
atleast they have the screen in right place off end of the front of the armrest.

All 67s are 4cyl. 77s are 6cyl
Oh, I always thought the 6 denoted dyna 6, and 7 dyna vt? Or is that in the olden days? Stopped buying Mf 6s (dyna 6 boxes) after the last 6480 then 6495, sh!t gearboxes, built out of monkey metal, break like eggs on Easter morning! Now on an 8660, seems better, but time will tell.

Fendt Vario/Dyna-vt Gboxes a diff kettle of fish & in my oppinion worth the extra even if you never use all the features these Fendt men rav on about but dont bother me whatsoever
6 pot Sisu in a 7718 will be a good match for that Puma 165 id say. both tractors shorter wheelbases.
Its what you like about there driving exp i guess.
4pot 6718S i had on demo couple of years back was 175hp rated & 200 on boost of course.
Would i swop it for its equ 6pot power wise... not a chance.
9" shorter tractor n thats it. gotta rev them a bit more than the 6pot otherwise went well enough.

Agreed regards Sisu engines, strong ( way too strong for the dyna 6 ) But it must be said, equally few forums kicking the fpt in the gonads ( which is not too much for the seriously strong CVX box ).

We have run case now for the last 11 years and they have preformed very well. Will do everything a fendt does and our puma 230 will run rings around a fendt 724. However if you have had good service from Massey and are happy with them, then that counts for a lot.

Ad blu is not the Case strong point for sure. Otherwise fairly bomb proof? We just owned/abused a maxxum 130 cvx for 5 yrs and 5000 hours with genuinely nothing but a forward / reverse shuttle, the odd spool connector and two dyno burns for the ad blu, very cheap tractor to own. If they hadn't ruined it I'd have bought another. The last two masseys (admittedly 3 and 6 years ago) cost us min £6k each in gearboxes, without other costs, especially cab suspension compressors and air con stuff. The 8660 has been much better so far, although work lights failed last week and no one can find the fault...

case cvx box easier to understand than the fendt/massey 1, simpler nicer cab layout on the case, easier to change pto stub on the puma,
Pto swap underatted!

Lock the shaft with the special bolt you had to hunt for, then undo 6 bolts, maybe find a extension bar or windy gun!!!!

Or a circlip... and get on with your day.

Better still, on the old 6900 jd we had, I think?? ( and probably others?) Undo circlip, reverse pto shaft, replace circlip.
