Contractors farming land in little Maplestead Essex

I have lived all my life in rural areas. Firstly in East Staffordshire right next door to a dairy farmer and for the last 35 years in amongst crop yielding fields In north Essex. For a long time, we have never had an issue with the tractors working. But in recent years, we have had to endure contractors harvesting at 2am, grain lorries racing up and down our small road (7 ton limit), rude signs in the field opposite our house banning us (two households) from walking in the field which we have done for years, not causing any problems but fair enough as its private property. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I will be doing my upmost to stop this ignorant and anti social behaviour though our MP and environmental health and Braintree District Council. These arrogant idiots do not own Little Maplestead and they should be ashamed of themselves. We have to go to work at 6am and being kept awake by some grunt who probably left school at 16 without any qualifications is wrong.

Sounds like your the one being arrogant practicing anti social behaviour. Trespassing on land and begrudging the younger generation who are trying hard to make their way the in world whilst you try to blame them with your hatred of change? Shame on you!
So do you own Little Maplestead? Or would you just like to ? Bet you cut hedges that don’t belong to you as well....

What on earth was the point in coming on here to post?
You've made yourself look like self-righteous, ignorant arsehole tbh
This coming from a 19 year old who dropped out of college at 17 and therefore would be considered as one of those 'grunt's that you speak of.
Oh and get over yourself, 6 in the morning would be a nice lie-in.

Pretty sure the fields you are talking about are empty with no activity 50% of the time.

As to walking animals on them, the owner is entitled to allow that or disallow it. I’m afraid there isn’t any thing can be done about that. Maybe instead of coming on here to rant about it try to discuss it with them and a neutral intermediate. Might get you further than bashing them on a public forum.

You are basically upset by the signs which I sort of agree with you ,but
let yourself down by generalizing that most who work in the countryside
are thick and that going to work at 6 deserves special recognition.
Good luck with your MP ,he or she are probably holidaying at their third
home in the Maldives and enviromental health will more likely tell you
to insulate your house better .

To be fair driving till 2am once a year in a particular field, how could they:whistle: they must be driving fendts as most other makes would be empty by then.;)

As for walking on other peoples ground, I have a woman living near me with 2 big choc labs, she,s been told several times to keep to footpaths but twice in the last month i,ve caught her on the field margins, always a lie about dogs running in there and i had to go and rescue them.

Think you need to let her know your forum name...

Trouble is, much of the population sees an "empty" field and thinks the're doing no wrong. But they are (OP, take note) - they are suppressing plant growth, spreading disease, scaring off wildlife etc. Sure, one pair of footprints does minimal damage, but it does some - and criminal damage to the farmer's assets at that. Over a year, one dog walker will have a measurable effect on the productivity of the land, and one errant walker who cannot be stopped will have a significant effect on the asset value too.
