People will spend £200k on some rubbish art work which most
will look at and say 'WTF' so could be a good buy to certain minded people.
After all if you commissioned someone to build that tractor from scratch
at the present time I doubt you'd get much change from what they've paid.
Ye I get what your saying it just seems crazy to me that kind of money

For myself, a Doe would be far more interesting.
On a tangent, at our little show there always used to be (local I suppose) a four big equal wheeled Leyland which struck me quite unusual. Do they have any value?
Mind, the farmer I worked for had had one as his plough tractor when they were current and said it was crap🤷‍♂️
We had a Doe 130 when I was a kid. Dad would sit us up front and take us to the school bus however he stopped this after the front tractor would regularly put its diff lock in and go through hedges rather than round corners. I really don’t see the attraction. A nice County 1184 would be nice though.

Can’t help but think none of them bring much to the party compared to my new Deutz as work tools go, but I wouldn’t want to cruise around in my escort either

I do wonder how many lusting after these tractors have spent much time on one. I’d really like to do up my old 4000 but I doubt I’d want to spend 12 hours ploughing like I did when I was a kid.

Actually, in my veg days I had many David Browns. The one i found fascinating was a 2D. I waited for one to come along for some 25 years. Well, I finally got one, I was still growing pumpkins at the time, so I could even put it to use hoeing👍
what a pile of crap, didn’t keep it two years 🙄😂

Exactly , nostalgia is a sign of a poor memory
Selective memory I think. You remember all the good none of the bad . My Dad had his MG TD restored apparently he had to stop using it when us kids arrived. First off he could hardly get in it second you need to be a yoga instructor to use the pedals . It turned like an ocean liner it’s brakes were rubbish. It could manage about 40 miles an hour foot to the floor if you did know how to double declutch you couldn’t find any gears. Progress I’m all for it.

as above there’s a reason they no longer make these things.
