Custom gs4 mix

I'm after some opinions on what I've put together in my head after some thought on a herbal ley mix to hit the gs4 specification, I havent seen a mix that I'm 100% happy with and suits my needs, far too many seem insistent on adding crap like oxeye daisies into the mix.

In my head I've come up with the following:
5kg perennial ryegrass (2kg intermediate 3kg late)
2kg festolium
1kg cocksfoot
1kg timothy
1kg tall fescue

1.5kg red clover
1.5kg birdsfoot trefoil
0.5kg alsike clover
0.5kg lucerne
0.25kg sheeps parsley
0.25kg yarrow
0.25kg sheeps burnett
0.25kg chicory
0.5kg plantain

To give a total of 15.5kg/acre sown (I would prefer to go a little heavier than a standard 13-14 kg ryegrass mix)

Thoughts? Seed merchants (of which there are plenty on here!) are welcome to quote but please note I've had my grass seed from the same guy for several years and you'll be hard pushed to beat him, but do try if you wish! I need 12 acres now and will want another 30ish acres later for autumn sowing.

I would be using it for grazing dairy cows on with occasional cutting for silage if it gets ahead of them. Want plenty of nitrogen fixing in there but my idea for having so much birdsfoot trefoil in there was to hopefully help avoid bloat from the clover and lucerne.
Thankyou

Oh and I also need 10 acres for overseeding into a thin ryegrass ley (dont ask - our mistake, not the seed) this also needs to be gs4 and I'll want cocksfoot in there and possibly a bit more ryegrass and then the rest to be herbs/legumes, think something around the 5-8kg mark would be more than enough

This is one of our GS4 mixes . We can add Lucerne and whatever you want as long as it fits within the Sceme
I can also sort a quote on your mix and make sure it's up to spec

Thankyou, it's actually on quite wet ground rather than light, I meant to say that in my original post but forgot.
I sowed sainfoin as part of a mix once and it never grew but the lucerne did, not sure if I did something wrong or not but that was why I was leaning towards the lucerne, but would prefer sainfoin if I could get it to grow.

What do you think of the mix I put together?

We don't put Sainfoin in the heavy land mix it does vest on free draining lighter land , but if Lucerne is doing on your land then by all means put it in
My man who does the herb mixes is not in today but I will run over it with him tomorrow . Your in Cornwall I think so now we have the info we can work something out for you . Happy to help if you

Ive gone through your mix, see bellow

Sainfoin only grows in very free draining and correct pH soils, especially chalky downlands. so not included

Lucerne also prefers better drainage but will endeavour to grow on these soils.

The mainly late grasses are squatter and better at ground coverage and high leaf content/better quality.-diploid ryegrass for better cover to help armour the soil

Bespoke Herbal GS4 mixture

2kg Boyne intermediate
3kg Toddington late)
2kg LOFA Festoloium
1kg SPARTA cocksfoot
1kg COMER timothy
1kg KORA tall fescue

1.5kg HARMONIE red clover
1.5kg LEO Birdsfoot trefoil
0.5kg AURORA alsike clover
0.5kg PLATO Pre Inoculated lucerne
0.25kg Sheeps parsley
0.25kg yarrow
0.25kg sheeps burnett
0.25kg CHOICE chicory
0.50kg TONIC plantain

To give a total of 15.5kg/acre sown

The chicory is perfectly is in balanced 0.25-0.30kg per acre anymore and it takes over,

If you reduced the yarrow we could save a lot of money as its an expensive seed

I was once told that yarrow is a calming herb that leaves the cows chilled out. Any one else heard that? Was thinking it would be handy at calving for the Limousins 😂
Really are they incorporating cannabis in the mix at high levels! That might work if it has the same effect on the cows as it does the möngs I’ve seen round town!! 😂
