Cwt to kgs

It's annoying when my chemical supplier sends chemical out in 4 litre cans instead of 5.
I assumed they were five litre cans when tipping into sprayer. Mixing cocktails I don't want anyone chatting to me.
Dad's theory of farm inputs would have said that 4 works just as well as 5 anyway as they always recommend too much to make their profit and cover their backs if it doesn't work. This theory was closely related to his other theory that said "Mr Coleman made his fortune from the mustard people throw away."

Just seen this thread, scanned through 5 pages and don’t think it’s been mentioned….but can anyone tell me wtf a unit is.. I always hear folk say they’ve put xx units of fert on. Means nothing to me 🙈😂

Why? It works perfectly fine
I’m sure if you’re used to it and use it it’s fine. But it’s functionality and design is horrible if you’re new to it. The slider effect is an awful visual ballsup, it actively hides the options that you’re looking for, and you’ve got to be precise about lining the slider up. Far easier to look for the measurement you’re looking for and click on it. For someone looking for a converter that is intuitive and easy to use there are many many alternatives. Don’t take it personally.

The acre is 10 square chains, which is actually more metric than the hectare.

And anyone who disagrees can go forth and hopefully not multiply.
How many Sq Yards in a Sq Chain?
Was it 484?? 22x22?
Or a fraction over 20Mx20M from memory
80 sugar beet seedling in a chain use to be the aim.
It was an overly complicated system designed to protect those in good paying jobs from the great unwashed, similar to the Latin Mass.

How do you know it's a downpour, it could fall over a week

But we would need a guide as to ambient temperature, wind speed and surface area of the tank so that transpiration can be taken into account. And of course, we would need to know the rate of outflow from the tank.

There will be many professional arable farmers who sow grain in stones/acre - with a quick calculation to vary it depending on 1000 - grain weight.

Anyway, the hectare is a stupid unit - take Ireland for example. Many of their fields are less than a hectare. They will have to use field names like ''de two turds hectary field''.

And why is Dyslexia such a difficult word to spell?

How hard is it to knock a fence down....some nitrogenous fertiliser, Semtex and remote detonator, job done!!! 🤫

But could you figger it out without calculating it with assistance, like pen and paper or electronic device???🤔😆
obviously spotted inches of rainfall was approx 1/10 of metre, so assumed sq ft was another approx metric amount, quick mental calc approx 200sq m.
so 1/10 of 200 = 20cu mt Approx. Actual amount used pen/paper/calculator.
is there an easier way?

200m2 roof with 100mm rain equals 20m2 of dihydrogen monoxide in the tank, just simple maths , no need for pen/paper or calculator.....
Equally the old snow loading on a roof is another calculation that's uncomplicated by metrics at 500kg/m2.🤔😉😆
