Demo of jd 3046 compact today.
Disappointed.
Gear range A not quite fast enough range B too fast. Cab great, but christ is it bouncy , let tyres down from 25psi to 14 ,it's on standard turfs , a cheap air seat is disappointing on a tractor costing 35-40k.
Sore neck, shoulders, aching back.
Will softer tyres help or is a bouncy tractor always going to bounce.

I think the reality may be tractors that size don’t have the weight or wheelbase length or width to simply not bounce..?

I see chandlers have some massey compacts advertised here on tff. Might be worth a look

You’ll want something hydrostat that size like a Izeki if gearings going to be a issue

I’ve just had one turn up toy,basically a izeki in Massey colours

I had a play on a Kubota L2 yesterday and was really impressed. If buying a machine that has a small engine and hydrostatic drive it feels sensible to chose a manufacturer that specializes in that like Kubota. None of the JD is likely to be genuine JD, just bought in parts painted green.

Can go down to 10psi easily. Less on the front end

These little compacts are not really comfortable on anything other than footie fields IME. I put a 400 odd quid airseat in my old Kioti and transformed it's ride comfort.

At 35-40K that is hardly top dollar these days, so basic spec!

all the old cubicles that house the heifers don’t have auto scrapers and there’s 4 other sheds that need scraping out

It had an air seat in it . It was crap, chespest air seat they could find I think.

Actually the back end is considerably stronger looking than kubota.

How's the cab , tried 35hp iseki but found the back window was too close to seat .

Got a kubota already ,find cab VERY noisy, and don't like treadle hydro operation, it's not natural to use heel to reverse.
Also got an older iseki and like that alot.

Hydrostatic Kubota is the default option for scraper tractor. @Boysground will explain.

Kubota is definitely not the quietest, i don’t drive it that often. I usually change my foot position to reverse.
