I don't work with hill sheep, but that looks a real good un to me. Better top line than most of the ncc tup photos I see.

Would I be right in thinking hilly cheviots would tend to have a better top line than their park type counter parts?

I like your Attonburn,Have you never gone blackface tup shopping now that was real hard work until I saw the light.

@Top Tip. only reason I go to blackie tup sales is for the craic and session!

Beltex, and now BFL and Cheviot tups is all that I run

@shearerlad you haven't lived,trying to buy blackface tups on a very restricted budget(250-350) was one of the most frustrating tasks I ever attempted and is one of the reasons that I no longer keep blackies.

What way do you rate them yourself, they are not a common hill sheep over here but I like the tup on the right and the middle tup has real power and presence.

I would rate them right, middle then left.

Right is overall the best sheep but you are right that the lad in the middle has some power and presence

Hard to tell with middle stood face-on, but him and the boy on the right look crackers!

Today's job is drawing the ewes for them.
Top and bottom 3rd going to these 3 Cheviot tups with daughters from top ewes to be kept.
Middle third of the ewes are going to BFL for Cheviot mule replacements in the flock of cross ewes.
