Does anybody do this? Looking at a 6m drill, to match in with our 32m sprayer. Been told it can be done. Just wondering if anyone on here does, and how you got round it? Cheers

How? Easiest to cut 1m off each end of sprayer booms if you want to use drill tram lining?

I'm 6m drill and looking to go 30m with the sprayer, not really for tramlines but more for running the sprayer down a drill wheeling.

It's theoretically possible, 5 1/3 runs per tramline. If 2m track, need normal pair of tramlines 1m each side of centre, but also outside coulter on each side switchable, breaking the drill up into 3 x 2m.

Go up field on run 1 with tram in centre. On run 6 back down field use 1 pair of centre one's (away from drilled land) and outside one on same side. On run 7 just the outside one to finish the pair. On run 11 1 outside one, run 12 another outside one and 1 centre pair. Then on run 17 back to centre.

I said it was theoretically possible, control software could be written, but not recommended!

I suspect it is theoretically possible, as is 4m into 18m.
It'll involve moving the tramlines to one side - so no pre em markers can be used. Starting on half shut off, and the correct side next to the hedge.
Need a pen and paper to work it out.....and possibly Rachel Riley!

Why a 6m drill? Surely the 32m is based on 4 and 8m drills?

We have a 4m vaderstad, but looking at a tine drill. Got our lighter ground drill but nothing on our heavier clay, got 400ac plus to drill in spring. About 1/2 our cropping.
6m to cover the ground quicker and less wheelings. Mounted 6m.

Then surely all you need is 2 taps, 1 either end boom shutting off the las 2 nozzles each end then you have the best of both worlds, sorted for 4m and 6m drilling.
