Does deutz not still offer the 6 speed gearstick? It's a ZF 7200 series transmission, 6 speed 4 powershift plus creeper
Deutz fitted the same backend right up until the 6xx5 series which was introduced about 5 years ago. In the Deutz it was powered through a "conventional" wet clutch rather than the torque converter "turbo clutch" in the old fendt
Absolutely bomb proof and still to this day the transaxle set the benchmark for hitch capacity and lift arc height range
Nope, still a ZF transaxle, but all buttons now: Five ranges with 6 powershifts (3 in reverse) gives 30fx15r or more common spec is with creeper in first 4 ranges 54fx27rDoes deutz not still offer the 6 speed gearstick?

Shift quality really is silky smooth and needs driven to be appreciated. Anyone who thinks the (very good) New Holland duel clutch dynamic command is smooth should definitely give it a test. Every bit as nice, automatic changes that are FAR simpler to set up, and 54 distinct speeds instead of 16 on the dynamic command (once you take out the range overlaps)
It also comes with a pricetag that reflects how good the new transmission and front suspension is unfortunately
Smaller Deutz now all have a "Same" derived 3 speed powershift, 5 gear and 3 range 'box, or their in-house CVT
You have had some very helpful polite advice, post's 23, 26 and 39. The symbol on the piston refers to the flywheel position not differing interpretation of where cylinder no 1 or 6 is situated. I would be very careful with your decision before you start torquing. Measure twice, cut onceAfter a phone call this morning to the local machine shop, the pistons are fitted right way with the arrows to the front of the engine, cylinder number are all the other way around on the German motors but the arrow always goes to the front. , but I am not happy to why it broke the flange off the top of the liner in the first place, so they are going to come out & machine the the block to fit the liners as We are both sure it has had liner movement from seating in the block & that is why it broke, with a liner high tool they are any were from 3 to 6 Thou out so I think this needs put right as I do not want to have to take it apart again
So if any one is looking for a set of standard NEW Fendt liners I could have some to sell as we may need to fit over size flange ones
See i thought they were available with the gearstick, ttv or rc shift which u just describedNope, still a ZF transaxle, but all buttons now: Five ranges with 6 powershifts (3 in reverse) gives 30fx15r or more common spec is with creeper in first 4 ranges 54fx27r

Only just put the rod bolts in finger tight , will take them all out again when the lad from the machine shop comes out to machine to block to get the liner to seat 100%, I do not like things to all most right so that is why the lad is coming out , after cleaning off one of the old pistons , it has the same markings on it as the new ones .Thanks to every one so far for the help & advice , would be nice to get it all back together later this yearYou have had some very helpful polite advice, post's 23, 26 and 39. Can you figure out what way round the old pistons came out?Only just put the rod bolts in finger tight , will take them all out again when the lad from the machine shop comes out to machine to block to get the liner to seat 100%, I do not like things to all most right so that is why the lad is coming out , after cleaning off one of the old pistons , it has the same markings on it as the new ones .Thanks to every one so far for the help & advice , would be nice to get it all back together later this year
Yes the same way the new ones are inCan you figure out what way round the old pistons came out?
Didn't know they still did ones like that hope the six speed powershift is a worthy successor to the awesome zf7200View attachment 1079154taken from the digital brochure on the 6 series
I took photos before I took them out, maybe the other man that rebuilt it before I got it put them in the wrong way around , but if he did it ran so smooth , bowl is off set with the narrow part towards the inlet & out let portsMaybe a stupid question but how did u figure out what way round the previous ones were in? Is the bowl in the center or offset?
Problem will be finding a second hand 1 as deutz isnt the most popular brand and rc shift seems to be the choice. Must be the same transmission only with the range change either robotised or manualDidn't know they still did ones like that hope the six speed powershift is a worthy successor to the awesome zf7200
It'll be a few years before a hill livestock farmer like me will be able to afford a nice second hand one to find out
Aye, but think I'd rather find a ZF7200 'box one driven by a 6 pot through a torque converterProblem will be finding a second hand 1 as deutz isnt the most popular brand and rc shift seems to be the choice. Must be the same transmission only with the range change either robotised or manual
Our one is one of the last ten every made & more than likey the rest are not in the UK as a 515 is rare in the UK any way, It is a nice gearbox to use I find so smoothAye, but think I'd rather find a ZF7200 'box one driven by a 6 pot through a torque converter
But think @Speedstar has bought the last one of these about!
That’s 2 in the bordersOur one is one of the last ten every made & more than likey the rest are not in the UK as a 515 is rare in the UK any way, It is a nice gearbox to use I find so smooth
Yes our one is the same fit up for loader, What size of tyres is your one on 540-65-28 fronts 650-65-38 rear ?That’s 2 in the borders
I was lucky enough to get offered a rare fendt loader a couple of years ago and it just took 10 minutes to fit.
For those that don’t know the front linkage comes with loader brackets built in as standard, and the spools are also piped to the front just under the exhaust so just 2 pins and 4 pipes and away we went despite the tractor never having a loader before.
This is one of the reasons i think it’s a Carlsberg tractor
580–70 38 & 480-70 28Yes our one is the same fit up for loader, What size of tyres is your one on 540-65-28 fronts 650-65-38 rear ?
