Ford 6610 Lacking Power

I've 2 Ford 6610s, a mk1 from 1984 and a mk2 from 1986. The mk2 is seriously down on power and we can't work out why, it won't keep up with the mk1 at all and both are NA standard, we've done all of the usual checks and gone through the fuel system and fixed any issues with the lines dragging air. This hasn't made any difference so we decided to turn the fuel pump up (the minimec inline injector pump), this hasnt made any difference powerwise and the tractor struggles and labours just as much as before. Anybody got any ideas what to do next? The engine hasn't done a great deal of hours and runs sweet as a nut, its had new injector nozzles, new lift pump, new filters etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Might sound silly but have you checked the handbrake cable pivot's where cable attaches to actuator rod on turret housings, went out to one years ago that had not even had it's first service and found these had partly seized. a common problem i found,

Now Then..
I'd have both tested on a Dynamometer. That way you can make a move informed diagnosis.
I've just done a John Deere 3050, 98 horsepower (obviously been tickled a bit) on the Dyno. It lost a thousand RPM on a bit of an incline when flat out. It turned out that the brake back plates were warped and causing drag..

Did they not replace the later 6610s with 64 and 6810 because of power issues?

If they’re both same pump I would swap them over before starting to reconditioning them, it’s a bit difficult to find any one to properly recondition an injector pump these days especially an inline one. All the old school ones have retired
Thats true but the amount of power this is lacking is concerning, completely gutless.
