The ZF 8 speed is a lovely thing, got it in my Defender

I drive a Vario gearbox tractor for hours and hours most days

It's nice to go for the occasional drive in my manual 'box Amarok

It's like taking a step back in history, and keeps the left knee flexible

I cant talk, i wonder why my weins like some of the stuff on tv like the night garden #mostpointlessshowever with no story line but then i watched some nonsence when i was wee lookin back now
I only watched educational stuff like ‘Bill and Ben the flowerpot Men’ and ‘Andy Pandy’. Later while [not] at secondary school I graduated to The Magic Roundabout and The Clangers. When I felt the need for some intellectual viewing it was a great relief to find The Wombles [of Wimbledon Common]

Does it actually matter what specific type of auto box a pick up has?
It matters more as to how it goes. I have a dual clutch transmission car and it goes just like a ZF torque convertor transmission. Smooth as silk and very predictable. The only slight difference is when pulling away uphill from a stop at a T junction when it becomes obvious that the clutch pack is more aggressive than a torque convertor when creeping out for better visibility of the main road.

Have you many miles and what’s the service interval on the Kia like?

20,000 mile or annual service intervals, whichever comes first. For the diesel edition. If the milage is below 10,000 since the last service and 12 months since, it is only a check and the engine oil and filter are not changed until the next one.

What about the DCT oil & filter changes?

More a critique of the term than the tractor to be honest, what exactly is being described as a "stockman's tractor" supposed to tell you about it?.

Used the old Crystals forty odd years ago when I was starting out and couldn't afford anything else. Cut a lot of silage with them (double chop) and carted a lot of slurry, they were clumsy and on a sunny day you might as well have been in a green house but for reliability and durability they couldn't be faulted.
