There's a rusted out Daisy Brown 996 driving a sawmill here, that hasn't turned a wheel since 2002 - but the oil filters- changed annually- line up alongside it on the side of the mill shed.
It might've done 8000 hours where it's sat.
The donk was nicked from a burnt out 1212, having been transplanted itself from a breakers several years previously....after the 1212 snapped its crank.
Said donk had originally been on a 1290 i think -painted yellow. The breakers reckoned it had been used on a sweeper on motorway construction or somesuch.
I daresay it had some hours on it then.
That motor must have somewhere over 15k hours on it, maybe nearer 20.
