no he told me a JD 6155R was a match to a Fendt 720 as both were 200 hp, having never set foot in a 6155 I would not know how they pull
In my experience, boost is never a match for flat horsepower.
fiancially, it might make sense from the way they are priced, but I would always go for the higher base horsepower.
For example
A 165hp tractor that boost to 205hp would not be as good as a 180hp that boosts to 200

Exactly way i look on boost is buy tarctor way standard hp you need then the boost is just a wee bit extra when the goin gets tough

The biggest carrot of the Fendt transmission over the Jondy outside price is seperate oils. A Fendt has seperate oil in the transmission to the hydraulics, an important consideration on potato work, when a lot of oil is pumped round implements, thereby increasing the chance of contamination. With say 5000hrs on, a Fendt will be worth more than a Jondy, which if both are similar money new makes a difference.

My old 7480 MF had the same gearbox as a Fendt 716. It spent most of its life pumping oil round sprayers, destoners, harvesters etc. A hydraulic oil change came round every 12,000hrs, and the oil would come out looking like it had done 4000hrs, never mind 1200! The transmission change was 2000hrs (a long time by anybodys standards) and it would come out looking almost new! It left here with 12600hrs and its original gearbox. Clean oil is essential for the survival of a vario. (four of our 6 tractors are VT masseys with Fendt gearbox)

Yes , but look at it the other way a 8000 hours tractor with full dealer service records will be worth more at the end of the day

Any idea how much more? I service mine by book (get service shedules and picking lists from the dealer when we do it ourselves) but never known it make much difference to trade in values.

As I have said in the past we have in 30 odd years never been asked about service history when trading in a tractor. It seems to be something only Fendt people buy into. @Speedstar why don't you try running one of your Fendts by servicing it yourself and see what the difference in trade in price is?
how do know i have not got some fendts I service my self ?
all our other tractors we have sold in the past have all ways sold better with a full service history
