Hapen the reason for a letter sent to all houses is so if borris does want to tighten the lock down or charge people the rumoured £5000 fine for being outside your house you dont have a leg to stand on because every house had a legal letter
So you cannot disagree and APPEAL like one above post mentioned

So @gone up the hill what should the government be doing to deal with this problem?
If left to run its own course the prediction is 250k deaths in a short period mainly due to the nhs being unable to treat people. Mass graves would be needed. The health of the nation would be severely compromised long term.

Population control, now no one now in the UK has any rights, very much like China.

Its said tonight that Boris will write to every household next week explaining the rules under the super lockdown and what you will be allowed to do and when and what happens if you don't comply.

If the above is the case then its going to get very nasty before long and wont end well.
I reckon something was in the wind before the GA when BOJO said he’ll have another 20,000 police by March if he gets to be PM.,mmmhhhh makes you think....or am I getting paranoid?

Chatting to guy in the village today ,At safe distance ,,he is part of a team of 40 tactical response ,,the guys that go into prisons all over the country when riots break out ,,,He was saying by the end of next week ,,every road out of every town, city and village will have an armed army blockade and everybody will be stopped and unless you are a key worker with a permit or have a very good reason to be more than 1 mile from home ,you will be fined

Rubbish
Spain is in total lockdown
Chatting to a British friend who had a small finca up in the hills, last night
He had to get supplies yesterday
Download a permit from government site
Fill it in, take passport with you
Present it at roadblock and you are allowed to get shopping, meds and hardware items, plus fuel
Yesterday he visited 2 supermarkets in town and 2 chemists to get all his family needed and a hardware/farm type shop for animal feed (dog and cats, plus horses)
He wasn’t fined
Being out without a permit renders a fine or jail
One person per car though only

Where have they found all these officers from . I thought they were massively under staffed

They are usually in the office issuing crime numbers for insurance, or policing events such as football. The Police Service will become much healthier if they have to come out into the sun and walk a bit. All said very much tongue in cheek.

How are your socks - not seen a picture recently. We need to check you are changing them.

The chap who is in charge of these predictions has run computer models on many other things like swine flu for example, all of them he has way over estimated deaths compared to how many people actually died.

As for what the gov should do, isolate all the elderly/ at risk groups, keep on with the 2 meter rule/ gloves etc and let people go back to work, im not saying they should open pubs etc at this time but company's like garages/ AG suppliers etc should be at work, even if they have to reduce the amount of staff on site at any one time to keep people apart.

Having the police out on the roads like little hitlers is going to far, they should be at the beach/ driving around making sure that there isn't large groups of people together etc and that people are two meters apart when possible.

Shutting all the parks etc now mean that in towns people are forced to cram into all the pavements when walking their dogs etc which wont help anyone.

If they carry on with this or a more stricter lockdown for long it will mean millions of peoples lives will be destroyed of both this and future generations and the death toll from suicides/ people not getting treatment for cancer etc could be double or more the 265'000 they predict from this virus.

Well Boris etc has ignored all their own rules on self isolation/keeping 2 meters apart etc.

The so called promised help will be at least 3 months away for the self employed and even then millions of people will not get any help at all.

Save the NHS at all costs? well if it hadn't been so badly run/ money wasted the last 20 years it wouldn't be in the current mess, and to solve this the now want to keep everyone under lock and key for months on end which will cause an economic depression like the 1930s.

I would love to know Boris's plan for keeping everyone fed next winter and the following summer because if he carry's on with this madness he is sure as hell going to need one.

And now they have set up an online portal so people can report their neighbours to the police if they think they are going out too much.

You cant see family members/ partners etc if they don't live with you.

Police out on every road questioning people all the time and deciding on a whim if they think you should be out or not.

Sounds more like Nazi Germany in the 1930's.

If people with cancer are struggling to get treatment then that is a tragedy.

However cancer is not contagious,Covid 19 is extremely.

Get real, you don’t shut the country for no reason.

And the long term lockdown in Italy isn't working to control the virus anyway.

The people are so hungry/ poor that they are now starting to besiege supermarkets and over run them in the desperation to get something to eat.

French are starting to do the same.

People are starting to commit suicide in their droves/ domestic violence has gone thru the roof in these country's.

And they are only 4/6 or so weeks into their total lockdown.

And the above and much worse will happen in any country before long that is under a severe lockdown for much more than 2/3 weeks.

Heart problems/ blood clots/ mental health etc etc, none of it being treated.

Boris only shut the country down on Monday because the media had been calling for it all weekend and then they came up with that nonsense figures from an unreliable computer model earlier in the day and so Boris panicked and shut the country down.

Like I say a 2/3 week lockdown to help the NHS re-organize etc is one thing but putting everyone under house arrest for months on end with no supplies of the basics and no job to go back to is quite another.
