Kuhn nc3000 drill

New to me this year, after figuring out how to alter the depth on discs.

Should I be having to turn drill on and off every row end or should top link sensor do that? Can't get it set right and too slow waiting for metering wheel to stop.

It's putting out more than calibration, I think it's because it's running a little seed out when not metering, is there a worn rubber flap same as accord used to do?

Top link sensor will turn it off but if it's like the one I had you might need to cut a square section into the bit of steel that goes past the sensor ro make it a positive on/off.

Yes there's a rubber flap under the metering unit that could be worn / missing if the furry beasts have been at it .

Pre ems should drop with the markers when on the tramline bout .

The disc depth whatever you do to one adjuster you do the same to the other . On concrete you want a gap under the packer wheels and a gap between the part where it stops it going any deeper I can get a pic of ours tomorrow

Thanks,
Top link sensor was messing about in work, so I moved it to bottom out of way.
Maybe sensor needs be a bit further away.

Is there a way to see if it's on/off to position it properly? Ie up and down it in the yard to get a good setting.

Pre EMS might be because I set into row then altered rhythm.dosnt help as you can't see them.

Disc depth think I've 90% got the jist.
1. Buckle sets depth other pressure kind of.
Took some understanding the sticker. Obvious when you know.

Sensor will change the display for on off .

I think from memory the coulter bar goes from grey to black but it's been a while we've been on a newer isobus version for 9 yrs now

Yeah we had one on a 6930 and it was a heavy bugger . It was changed for the lighter lc which was too light built so we changed to the new models in 2015 with a pre production model was sold to us we're now on our 3rd new type .

Running this nc3000 on a t3 Massey 6480
Does seem heavy
You’ll not be able to fully fill the hopper and expect to pick it up. We originally had one on same tractor and could only put about 4-500kgs in hopper otherwise hydraulics wouldn’t stop trying to lift as it couldn’t lift it fully up to the top of travel. On a 6495 now always felt like tail was wagging dog with it on the 80.

Took me a while to find these someone else asked the same a long time ago . You want a gap like the picture while working to let the coulter follow the contours up and down

Ye I only plan to put 500kg in.
My accord was needing discs and like the look of these double disc with press wheels. Didn't really want the top spec drill but it came at right money.

My fan is driven off the back of harrow hydraulically but is says it's doing 3900rpm even when I drop PTO speed or turn the control nob?

You can drop the pto speed a long way before the fan speed will drop

Why did you have to cut a square into the steel for top link sensor, were you using top hole?

I think I've got it set right now, switches the light on sensor when harrow lifts and just starts lifting drill.

I can't remember exactly but it was a rounded edge and it worked better once I cut a square notch . Yours could be different. It was in 2009 so I can remember doing it but not exactly why
