It does in a fashion, it has got Rye grass as the only grass seed. Now Then..
Have you got the Kverneland App?? It should guide you through the settings..
While I appreciate what you are saying you haven't got a clue in my experience and are talking like a true salesman and NOT a farmer! State the bleeding obvious but can't do it yourself! In my experience. All these settings apps are great ( we do our own one. ) however you MUST tray test and air moisture content, seed moisture content , wind, density, etc etc… will all affect it ON the day. No substitute for actuall tray testing your own product
I will be able to find out if its putting the right rate on by the weigher and the area sown through gps.Set up my sower using the app to sow grass seed this spring. Was putting it on far too heavy on first time round field. Had to reduce setting a lot and sowed by what seed looked like on the ground. 6m spacing will be fine if calm or light breeze. Had sowed plenty with last vicon twin disc and always happy with the result.
I'd try and divide field into measured blocks and try to sow allocated amount on 1 first.
In farmer speak if its a sticky or humid day fertiliser and seed flow rate slow right down compared to a bone dry day. Also some seed is sticky anyway, particularly if it has had any sort of treatment, again slowing the flow rate. That's why the book settings are a starting point. While I appreciate what you are saying you haven't got a clue in my experience and are talking like a true salesman and NOT a farmer! Tray testing grass seed!?
Air moisture= rain?
Seed moisture content, fecking dry I should hope being grass seed!
Spreader was tray tested for 3 different fertiliser products last Feb set up after using the app to start with and then adjusted accordingly.
In my experience talking to other farmers is more helpful
but surely modern weigh cells take this into accountIn farmer speak if its a sticky or humid day fertiliser and seed flow rate slow right down compared to a bone dry day. 1.5m seems a bit excessive. Used to do a lot with a vicon and 3m was fine. You had to pick your days though. Not used a KV for grass seed but any I’ve done with an amazone or vicon is done twice over driving about 1.5m from last bout.
Grass seed won’t go much more than 3m
Especially if it’s a bit windy!!
yep, you carry on. What do i know.......While I appreciate what you are saying you haven't got a clue in my experience and are talking like a true salesman and NOT a farmer! State the bleeding obvious but can't do it yourself!

Yes, but the application rate for grass seed is generally so low that the spreader cannot be accurate enough. Certainly my Vicon EDW couldn't, wonderful with fertiliser, even powders but grass seed was always a wee bit out, even with two of the three apertures blanked off.but surely modern weigh cells take this into account
as flow varies etc
Two cures are up the disc speed to create more suction or go faster.couldn`t get my Vicon Geospread to open far enough for grass seed to run without putting far to much on.
Ended up going over with drill
I was on fine setting as well
That's why the old wagtails were so good at it, generated its own anti bridging vibrations!Trouble with grass seed is it bridges after first turn around due to vibrations.
Ticklish old job always
