Nationwide i reckon, i often wonder how much happier we would be if we turned off all our phones, tv's , computers and didnt read the newspapers for a while either. Too much bad news 24/7 is making us glum
we gave up watching the news several years ago and have now given up watching most tv as its all so depressing, its amazing how much better life is without the constant news feeds, I blame the 24 hr new services for a lot of it as they have to "create" stuff to fill the slots most of the time

Rolling news is expensive to produce and edit so cheap non controversial trash is the order of the day.

I watch a lot of news , but not the bbc .

Every one I speak to seems rather dispondent with the job.
Is it across the board/nationwide?
Beef job not helping plus the uncertain period we are going through at the moment.
I’m hoping @Cab-over Pete at the helm will steer us through (y)

We’ll be fine Kev. Put the kettle on and have a Hob-nob. Folks are scrutinising costs more than ever but still appreciate a good job done by and large.

Watching horizon “the honest supermarket” lastnight depressed the hell out of me! Labelling produce by how many times it had been sprayed, potatoes sprayed 32 times!!, really doesnt help the general public onside. When Im asked what i would of done differently in life it would be not get on a fecking tractor. With 28 years at work before retirement I’m not certain how things will pan out

How did they manage to spray the potatoes 32 times? That’s once every 3 to 4 days thru the growing season, crazy.

Woman on the PM debate said she was on a good wage but couldn't pay her bills , ..... some folk are beyond help .

I did not catch it but a lot of families are living well beyond their means or just can't seem to manage life when it comes to money. I just don't spend money if I don't have it and I would not buy a brand new car irrespective of what my salary was/is.

I wonder if it’s all really that bad, I’m in the UK at the moment and the few farmers I’ve spoken to don’t seem to unhappy.
Much of TFF Agricultural Matters seems to revolve around beef and sheep, what about arable, dairy (the dairy section on here seems more glass half full than Agricultural Matters and livestock) spuds, veg growers, pigs, poultry etc?
Hasn’t farming always been on the verge of complete disaster ?
