Wanting to spray off some old pp soon to drill some kind of forage crop for grazing gimmer lambs in the winter. What would people's preference be?
If your grazing in later part of Winter then Maincrop Turnips atm, you could ad a small amount of Hybrid Kale but don't sow to thick , its to early for Stubble Turnips for winter feeding , leave it a few weeks or they may go woody and inpalitable at the end , just spoke to a customer who grows 150 acres for lambs and gave up with Turnips for that reason , he's going to try 30 acre this year but sow a bit later , that's my thoughts anyway
Stubble Turnips will work out cheaper than Rape as the seed rate is lower ,
