Mole Avon Credit account slashed

Never have I owed mole Avon money past my due date but recently they have slashed the amount I can book to my account has this happened to others ? I am now looking elsewhere my spend would of been about 4K a month on average already found stuff cheaper elsewhere so they may lose out a lot.

That new crediton store hasn’t taken off to well and causing pain further up the line for mole Avon I’d be thinking If reducing customers credit limits ?

Just had a look at their accounts on Companies House. Turnover up BUT profit sharply down. Debtors didn’t appear to be an issue but O/H costs were.
Of course this years management accounts might be telling a different story ...... or could
be sensible prudence by the Board. Who knows.

The O/H’s are bound to be high now taken on all these extra staff at the new store to turn the place into a glorified garden centre I think the man in charge has a lot to answer for that’s a problem when the boss of a traditional agricultural merchants is clueless on agriculture , the old store in crediton was dated but at least then they had decent staff and stock , the staff that have stayed from the old store are pretty well the only decent staff there.

That’s all well and good but a 3k credit limit won’t buy much now,and you wouldn’t mind not having the credit limit if the prices are competitive and I would pay as I went but you’d accept a little bit higher price for the convenience, it seems to be bigger store bigger prices .

Recently seems to have gone very sharply downhill.

For example, they just sent a flier round everybody last month to announce no longer willing to book scotch down as derv at the Okehampton forecourt.

:hungover: :hungover:

What about calling it a fuel additive?

What kind of moron goes and slashes customer credit limits like that. I thought money was cheap at the minute, banks must be near giving it away.

the staff that have stayed from the old store
A lot of staff didnt move across. Massive upheaval and the new manager is useless!

In Crediton they have also favoured one farmer for a milk vending machine in the car park. I understand that went down like a lead balloon with other dairy farmer owners!

What would you expect 100 different machines in the yard to allow all farmers to sell ?

I always deal with jerry in the yard, always good to deal with, we always said the okh brance was poor but crediton very good. they have opened a branch at Witestone simlar timing as crediton new store. I thought the letter with last montgs accounts said credit cut back as part of dealing with C Virus rather than finance issue. Dosnt effect us, dont use them anything like we used too.
