Way too cheap, the lot of ya. I've got no idea how anyone is making money at those prices?

Going rate with my contractor is $360 + GST (15%) per hour for McMassive tractor & triples, $230 + GST per hour for 3.8m single.

Raking or tedding is $165 + GST per hour

Carting and stacking bales (tractor/JCB) is $200 per hour

No one down here charges per acre/hectare as far as I'm aware, everything gets lumped into a per bale charge ($45 + GST per bale to mow, rake, bale, wrap and stack).

$414 an hour = £212 @ 20 acres an hour = £10.60p

Cant see the rate goin up much as more farmers will buy thier own mower. Alot of farmers round here have bought thier own mowers recently so they must reckon it pays ok
