why incorporate it ? just drill into it ?

It takes a lot of fuel saved to pay for a new drill. I appreciate that opens a big can of worms, pun intended!

Don’t let it go to seed or you’ll be trying to get rid of it for 20 years. Let it finish flowering then flail / cultivate / spray depending on what you have at your disposal and how you want to establish your wheat

if you need to cultivate for any reason other than compaction your drill is flawed

Haven’t had that issue here. Normal herbicides seem to nobble it, and the few volunteers left look fantastic in a growing crop of wheat.

That’s a good point, you could use a vaderstad with the system disc and do it all in one pass oh, is that not what you meant?

It was mainly OSR we couldn’t control it in, to be fair though stuff like Belkar or clearfield etc might do the job better nowadays. This was going back a while now. I still wouldn’t let it seed though given a choice
