Depends on varieties. Maris Piper sells at gate in any quantity, especially processing quality ones. Good chipping Markies and Agria too.

We graded 150t the week before Easter, this week 80t

The whole phyto has been less problematic than I thought in fairness. We’ve got on ok with trucks arriving, sometimes a day late but not generally ok.

What’s the price been like?

Markies are a very bold sample and have been managing to push £165 on those. Bag count is around 110 and good fry too.

We ran out last week, we were getting £180, but I’ve heard over £200 now

Can't get a bid on washing quality whites up here,around £40/ton if you can find a buyer, doesn't even cover the cold store cost.

I lifted some whites this week with one of my suppliers and I might sell 2 loads per week, he has 20 more loads on his two fields. Might end up harvesting them up till July.
