Are feral pigs a big problem in Australia? I know cats are, and I read camels too. Where I worked in the wheat belt in WA (nearly 40 years ago), they didn't have rats (then!).

feral pigs are a MASSIVE problem here

Ive had that creepy experience and I still shiver at the thought of it ,cleaning carrier conveyor out and I feel something back of my leg ,,ratty had made a bee line up my trouser leg .
I was out of the trench in a split second shaking my leg ,yuck ,horible feeling

Why am I wondering how you learnt it was necessary to make sure they were dead first? I have a mental image of a singed, pee'd off ratty emerging from said Rayburn through the front door...

I was just about to ask the same question, I do wish people posting their cooking recipes on TFF would detail their ingredients and methods more fully so we can similarly enjoy these treats without a lot of added googling.
