Why can’t ANM get their act together on advertising farm sales?

Leaving it to a week before the sale before putting up listings doesn’t give potential buyers from outwith the immediate vicinity much warning that something they are after is going to be there and worth planning a trip around.

Pentland in particular and also UA have them up weeks ahead and with pictures too.

Couldnt agree more, their advertising department needs a good kick up the backside.
The Thainstone Saturday machinery sales are as bad. Wasnt even a photo catalogue for farm implements last week. A simple photo would be enough to tell me if the bale trailer is a old artic cut with no floor or something decent worth going to see.
Dingwall can manage it with prices and reserve if not sold afterwards.
Rant over!

Because they couldnt care less.
They have an arrogance of
" well where else can folk go to buy roof sheets, blocks, firewood and other $hite,"
They think they are the only show in town and unfortunately for that kind of stuff they are locally.
Dingwall makes an example of them pleasant office staff, auctioneers that dont f### off when sales finished and then never answer phone.
Also what other marts charge the numerous fees and deductions that thainstone does.
UA had a sale at Methlick last autumn and folk were very complimentary of it.

ANM are setting new records! Roup to be held on Saturday 19th. Inventory was published on website on 12/10. "Photographs will be available mid week"! 3 days!! o_O
They don't seem to publish in the SF nowadays either.

Pretty poor. 7 days seems to be standard for listings going up with them.
United Auctions had listings up for sales on 2nd & 15th November for a couple of weeks and now have photos with them too.

If I was retiring or selling up I know what service I would prefer to be receiving for my commission.
