Sheep wintering

I'm sure the answer is probably no but ...do any of you nice dairy farmers in north yorks / north east area have any sheep grazing available later in the year? please PM if any. thanks

Cant get any sheep it seems this autumn. Got way too much grass on. No weather window for cutting now.
Leave it and its full of dead shite next April.

Only option to flail top it off? With fert ay record prices, is it that stupid an idea anyway? Serious amount of organic matter to be returned if we do such.

Get sheep on it, you’ll just have a layer of worse than dead shite full of mould if you flail it, the weather may get better before Christmas to cut it though 👍🏻

I'm very much pondering how many sheep to take on. Similarly got sh!tloads of grass, but very aware of fert price and availability. Don't want to bugger the spring up.
Lots of sheep now and off before new year probably best? Move them about and graze the silage fields last?
What's the latest you would have sheep on? Heavy clay farm, cows out by day 10th March ish.
We are in North Wales and have a list of takers at a £1/wk. Should this be a bit more? With Fert @ £700 lambs still @ £5/kg?

You're welcome to mine I'd you look after them until February 😉🙏

Feel its a bit too strong as it is. Covers about 2400 - 2800. Will be April before we get to the farthest paddocks.
Will the quality not drop, fill with mould, slugs and bacteria if not grazed/cut pre Christmas?
42 days is the longest I leave fields ungrazed for and sometimes I regret leaving them that long, once covers go over 3000 here they tend to go rank and the sheep won’t eat it down cleanly. No fert used mind.

Thats my gut feel. But really don't want to be throwing about £30/ac in early march(if I have any) to make up for it
