So Booths....we are not key workers

My better half has just returned from supermarket. She went to Booths only to be told key workers only. Not only NHS, which would be completely understandable. She told person on the door she was a key worker and explained we were farmers, well apparently we don't qualify as key workers.

I'm speechless any opinions. Please note I'm talking about key workers not NHS workers

I saw on a telly advert that Morrison’s are “feeding the nation“ and. “ it’s more than just a job“ for them

we are an irrelevance clearly, they have it covered ........all our marketing, hijacked ....... where was our PR ?

Couldn't agree more, fully supporting all efforts by other key workers just now but either I'm missing it or farmers are rarely mentioned. I don't want a medal for doing the job I chose to do but some recognition of our role in a time of crisis would be good

And morrison of all the big names do actually get their hand dirty producing food, not just importing horse meat

The person on the door obviously made a mistake, happens all the time.
The issue could have been escalated at the time, but seems like it wasn't.
No big deal, go somewhere else.

Not strictly true as the manager came out and backed up statement and said it was head office decision

Download your AHDB essential / key worker form, and attach to the email .
It is perhaps the most yoosful thing that organisation has produced. We carry one each in vehicles.

Great idea, hindsight is a great thing. Unfortunately things were a bit fraught as she quickly called in after visiting A&E with eldest child. Only posted as was somewhat surprised farmers weren't considered as key. Regretting it now
