yes it is a wabco .the job is sorted now but i could not find the parts on line so made a gasketIs it not a wabco compressor? Not many manufacturers make there own air systems, 90% of what I’ve come across have been wabco. Parts can be found much cheaper.
Most commercial motor factors will source wabco parts if you give the the number of the id plate.yes it is a wabco .the job is sorted now but i could not find the parts on line so made a gasket
There's various ancillaries we source for the CAT here from other dealers/brands.Needed an oil cooler for a CAT C4.4, which is a Perkins in drag. Finning £760, same part from Diperk in a perkins box £280.
Worst of all, the payment to Diperk was processed by Finning. So thats almost £500 for putting the same part in a CAT branded box

Starters and trackrod ends come to mind straight away.
Finnings are CATs worst enemy, and are the chief reason I won't likely buy another CAT..............but who owns finnings?
Buy a hedgecutterI think I will pull them in a bit narrower , been running them quite wide to look straight down the side of a silage trailer or spreader but getting a bit fed up of cracking them.
I have one, but we run all over mid devon so not my hedges unfortunately.Buy a hedgecutter
Was a thread on here about CAT starters a few weeks ago. Cost thousands. There's various ancillaries we source for the CAT here from other dealers/brands.

From recollection, the OE price was several hundred more than the same starter from the local manipoo dealer...which runs the same Perkins donkWas a thread on here about CAT starters a few weeks ago. Cost thousands.
I'm not so sure finnings are independent at all.Think finnings are independent of CAT, but sole importers / dealers of cat equipment into certain countries.
The CAT product is very good in general, but parts are eye watering. Thankfully on the whole our CAT equipment are generally very reliable, but parts costs will be a factor to consider when the time comes to replace our CATs.
