Asked one this morning 20 mins ago ..... he just said " you just got to get on..can't combine so go hedge trimming "
It's entirely legal to cut hedges now provided that you don't disturb nesting birds. If, however, you are claiming BPS or are in a stewardship scheme then you aren't supposed to under the BPS or scheme rules until 1st September unless you apply for a derogation. It will be legal again as of 1st September. Roads can be trimmed for vision only
Not their own money so not worried maybe with aid dockages if EVER applied??
Think wildlife regs over rule also possibly?Maybe don't claim BPS so can do as they want
I would imagine if they claim to have checked to see no nesting birds the it would be ok, IIRC its harming the birds that the law not the hedge cutting bitThink wildlife regs over rule also possibly?

Most of the stuff I do is for horsey folk, lots of road work with poles, light stands and traffic add in sheep netting, electric tape etc and some days I would love a e hedge like that to cut, only benefit I get is that I can charge better rates3 on the top, 2 on the sides.
