My 7719S won tractor of year but wtf does it really mean? its just a tractor nothing more or less & still a massey trying to be a sort of Fendt
Still really rate that Vario Trans mind. even tho i cant for the life of me operate any of them in pedal mode or DTM
Sounds like mf haven’t gotten any better since the 7400 series. Horrible thing to drive compared to Fendt

You need to try a Claas Cematic it looks to be a very good Vario gearbox.

What are you struggling with?

Pedal mode on the road, set the pedal response half way and roll along like big, automatic car. With a bit of forward planning, you pretty much never need to use the brakes.

I use pedal mode for hedge cutting, dial the max speed back to 7k so I have more pedal travel and just use the pedal to go how ever fast you want to go, slow down for thick bits, speed up for thin bits, if you need to stop, just take your foot of the pedal, it's dead easy.

DTM doesn't do anything for you on the PTO, but I use it drilling. Set the max revs in the settings to high idle, then press the DTM button, it will show up in the left had screen, then press SV1 for what ever speed you're working at and let the DTM do its thing. I've had mine maintaining the speed I want, showing 100% load at 1400rpm. It will adjust the engine and transmission to maintain what ever speed you asked it to do.

I'll be honest it wont let you drive the tractor on a headland turn for instance without speeding away itself & you loose all the control
7499 & 7719 is identical in this respect. Id rather run at the revs i set with preset button & alter speed as needed for the other jobs.
DTM is No use to me drilling as i run a PH combi.
And also i want the tractor to slow down & speed up as i see fit on the road & only joystick mode truly does that on both.
I drive v little on the foot throttle anyways. so pedal mode at that point is pointless.
The software on the massey is nothing like a fendt so ive been advised.
Love how i operate them both on the joystick & id still buy another tomorrow

Also Pedal mode decelleration i cant stand that no matter where you set it.
I simply dont want in to decellerate itself. i can do that as n when i see fit with slight nudges of the Joystick & its far mode controlled.
You can pretty much freewheel along in Joystick like a standard Gbox of anytype if you ease the engine speed off.
