Still got all the debt to prove it.Probably because trying to be a farmer during the Blair years was far, far worse than it is now.

Depends how long you live and have good memory helps?Iād be curious to know, how many of the people signing the petition, to have the knighthood withdrawn from this murderer, are in favour of leaving statues in situ, for past murderers and slave traders, and such like?
I bet the correlation is strikingā¦.
The Electorate.who has indicted him?
No they havenāt. The vast majority have no care at all. If they didnāt believe him how did he win three elections he didnāt lose any. Heās not up in any court and is unlikely to ever be. He is or was a politician the lowest form of human life. The Electorate.
True - but two of those were before Iraq and in the third his popular vote fell by 4m, only winning the Election because more than 1m wasted their vote on the Lib Dems.If they didnāt believe him how did he win three elections
For sure by then the public were starting to wise up or more likely get a bit tired of the grin but to be tried as a war criminal usually you get judged by the people who defeated you, like what happened to Goering or Milosovic etc. Bush and Blair arenāt going to be judged by anyone on this earth anytime soon.True - but two of those were before Iraq and in the third his popular vote fell by 5m from 1997.
The peace process started with the Downing Street Declaration in 1993, which led to the IRA declaring a ceasefire in 1994. All this was under John Major. Blair arrived on the scene in 1997 4 years into the process and was PM on Good Friday 1998 when the agreement was signed. I make that 4 years under Major and only 1 year for Blair.Good point, so often forgotten - Blair was the #1 peacemaker in NI.
He really made it his own with that infamous speech two days before Good Friday :-Blair arrived on the scene in 1997 4 years into the process and was PM on Good Friday 1998 when the agreement was signed.
Or any Tom Dick or Harry who has donated money to a political party. Totally discredited system which harks back to old colonial days. Time to get rid of it. Incidentally Blair himself made as bigger contribution to discrediting the honours system as any PM, which is saying something. On the bright side not many people give two hoots who knights of old England are.I personally don't mind that Blair got a knighthood. But I do object to these armies of Sir Humphreys who automatically get a knighthood, simply by climbing the greasy pole to a certain position. No matter how good or useless they turn out to be. The award should be for outstanding service to the United Kingdom or humanity in general.
In fairness, he ran away once his sins were found out, knowing without any doubt at all that he was unelectable once they were.No they havenāt. The vast majority have no care at all. If they didnāt believe him how did he win three elections he didnāt lose any. Heās not up in any court and is unlikely to ever be. He is or was a politician the lowest form of human life.
Quite right, barring the last bit.Letās be honest the Queen doesnāt make these awards in a vacuum. Blair has been awarded a knighthood by a backward facing establishment. I havenāt clicked on the petition but his āhonourā just confirms the system is a throw back to a previous time. I understand many of the crusaders were knights of the realm. So I suppose this does have a resonance with Englandās medieval history. Best one can say about it.
No. The damage he did to the Constitution is unforgiveable, and all for his own short-term gain. Add in his criminal dishonesty and the vast amount of entirely unnecessary blood on his hands and he is beneath contempt; a disgusting and arrogant liar, hypocrite, nepotist, coward and egotist.Sadly Blair was probably the best Labour leader since the war but was very ill equipped in dealing with the war hungry US arms industry & allowed himself to be persuaded to back the US in their stupid intervention in Iraq.
If you ignore that complete mess he actually didn't do a bad job at all considering he had the demented Brown breathing down his neck!
Just noticed this, utter crap. The two who guaranteed peace in NI were John Major and Marin McGuinness, who bravely took great risks and acted very determinedly. I loathe(d) both of them, but the facts remain. TB jumped on the bandwagon just before the finishing line and claimed a win, something typical of him.Good point, so often forgotten - Blair was the #1 peacemaker in NI.
