Top 5 benefits of Seaweed Fertilizer

The seaweed fertilizer uses seaweed as a raw material to break down the seaweed cells and release the contents through technical means. The seaweed concentrate is then concentrated to form a seaweed concentrate, which significantly retains the natural active ingredients of the seaweed. It is a highly efficient and low-cost new fertilizer.

The characteristics of seaweed fertilizer are as follows:

1 Nutrient-rich

The active seaweed fertilizer contains a large amount of non-nitrogen-containing organic matter, including 40 kinds of minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and iodine, and abundant vitamins, which are unmatched by terrestrial plants, especially seaweed polysaccharides unique to seaweeds. Alginic acid, highly unsaturated fatty acids and a variety of natural plant growth regulators can stimulate the production of non-specific active factors in plants and regulate the balance of endogenous elements.

2 Easily absorbed by plants

The active ingredients in seaweed fertilizers are particularly active after they have been specially treated, and they enter the plants within 2 to 3 hours after application, and they have a speedy absorption and conduction velocity. Alginic acid in seaweed fertilizer can reduce the surface tension of water, forming a layer of film on the surface of the plant, increasing the contact area, water-soluble substances are relatively easy to penetrate the surface cells of stems and leaves so that plants can effectively absorb the nutrients in the seaweed extract.

3 Improve the soil

Seaweed fertilizer is a natural biological system that works in harmony with the plant-soil ecosystem. It can directly increase soil organic matter through soil or plants and activate various microorganisms in the soil. These microorganisms can act as catalysts in the circulation of plant-microbial metabolites, increasing the biological effectiveness of the soil.

4 Fertilizer effect special long

Seaweed fertilizer can directly increase soil organic matter through the soil or plants, and activate various beneficial microorganisms in the soil. These microorganisms can act as catalysts in the circulation of plant-microbial metabolites and increase the biological efficiency of the soil. Metabolites of plants and soil microorganisms can provide more nutrients to plants. At the same time, the chelation system formed by seaweed polysaccharides and humic acid can release nutrients slowly and extend fertilizer efficiency.

5 Safe and non-toxic

The seaweed fertilizer raw materials are derived from natural seaweeds, have good affinity with terrestrial plants, are non-toxic and harmless to humans and livestock, and have no pollution to the environment. They are high-quality fertilizers for the production of harmless vegetables.

I have always been wary of calling things more beneficial than fertiliser, "fertiliser"

Most fertiliser is degenerative and degrades and constipates your soil by reducing biological activity and nutrient cycling

Seaweed products are the complete opposite, a proper tonic for humans/livestock and more of a biological primer to tickle the sytem as a soil amendment

That's my feedback @Doraagri - our ranch has used seaweed products for 23 years, but it's misleading (IMO) to call it "fertiliser" as it's a "food" in itself

We don't even supplement vit B12 as tests show we have plenty, big ups to the power of the ocean

Bear in mind that, for next season, all seaweed products, biostimulants etc will have to have proper supporting data before they can be sold. (At present they can be sold as fertilisers, hence no such regulation)
Hence a massive push this season to flog as much as possible before they all disappear off the market.

Hi, how does that work then? What sort of supporting data? Will all these sort of products be removed and thus illegal to sell if cannot support yield?

As I understand it they (biostimulants at least) will be classed as pesticides (because they claim disease control etc). So like all pesticides they will need supporting data to prove they have the effects claimed. Even if they can do this the process is so expensive many won't bother.

Can't they just drop their (regulated) claims and just say they are fertilisers then?
