I was very fortunate to meet this guy once in a pub. He was rather messed up at the time and he took a lot of persuading to talk to us, for various reasons I won't go in to. Let's just say he was very shy!
Eventually he opened up and told us that apart from various things that had recently gone on his life that one of his biggest challenges was that he just couldn't get the quality of the sound he wanted in his recording, because the technology at that time just didn't exist.

Finally I think he get closer to what he wanted with this. It is a much better, vastly improved version, that is for sure:
IMO, whether it be the original or this version, it is probably one of the most famous bits of music ever written.

John Cleese announcing the instruments always makes me smile. Mandolin!

Mention of Brian Johnson brings to mind the night his band played a YFC BBQ.....near to Newcastle....Yep on the bale trailer in a cleaned out cattle shed...
Even the mighty have to start somewhere....

Johnson was one of the founder members of the rock band Geordie formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1971. After a few hit singles, including UK Top 10 "All Because of You" (1973), the band split up in 1978

Watched the New Year’s Day Concert from Vienna this morning. Which was especially good, bearing in mind the year and no live audiences. The Blue Danube encore was just brilliant! Got me thinking that if it this was played at a funeral, the corpse would be in severe danger of waking up!

However, I think this would also go down well as a NYD concert, especially as it also has a full orchestra playing too.
Unbelievably, Steve Hackett’s Genesis Revivals are even better that the originals!
Enough also to revive the dead!

If you’re going to do a tribute group, get one of the original Band members to host it and you end up with something even better than the original:
Simply brilliant!

PS, If it won’t play on TFF, press the YouTube link and it should lead you to Steve Hackett (of Genesis) playing Genesis’s “Battle of Epping Forest”

Watched this on tv last night. Fantstic! (unless you are related to Mary Whithouse.)
This time the song was really about Donald Trump.
Watch the very end to see what was written on the Battersea Power Station as to what he really is/was!
Priceless.

You can't beat a bit of traditional Country and Western in the tractor cab.

One of my favourites is Scuzz Twittly and 'Anita Beer' is one of his many award winning classics.

Another favourite of mine is 'Party like Charlie Sheen'.
This one's not quite as catchy but will sound mighty fine in that cab. Be warned, it is not suitable for tender ears.
Its called "Eating Out"

On second thoughts I'll let you find and appreciate the poetry in that one for yourselves. In the meantime here's Party Like Charlie Sheen...

Note the 'Pork Producer' cap.
