Typhoon winter wheat

Doesn’t look amazing as a first wheat following OSR. Dawsum and Champion do look amazing. As long as it yields it doesn’t matter. Is it one of those varieties that looks are deceptive?
We grow it as a seed crop, it's an early driller so a slow burner and one of the last varsities to get going in the spring. Will be there or thereabouts with yield. 👍

That’s encouraging, as I’ve got 150acres that looks very backward compared to the Extase, and was hoping it was yet to get going. Looked more drought tolerant than many in trials last year, hence trying it as we always drought out.

You probably couldn't have picked two varieties further apart in growth habits. Typhoon is slower to grow compared to Extase which is very showy and advanced in growth stages. I'm fairly confident you won't see much difference in yield come harvest.

I've grown it this year as my second wheat alongside Graham for firsts. Tapestry never turned up in time so i picked some typhoon up instead.

Agronomist pleased i was growing it, as his favourite feed variety apparently. Looks very healthy for second wheat so far 👍

Looking good here, not quite as vigorous as Dawsum and Champion but very clean of Septoria
The combine will be the best judge !!

Typhoon here on small field as a trial to us, seems to be waking up now, has been slow to start it’s spring growth, but looks good to us, usually a slower wheat tends to be perform the best.
I'd agree , slower wheat usually yield better with me also. Revelation holds our record!
