Boris had a clear choice on the parties issue, he could have resigned, he could have apologised to the country, but no he chose to try and lie his way out of it.
Lieing to parliament is a dismissable offence for any minister and there is little doubt he did and he should resign on that point alone in my estimation.
However he still could publicly apologise and I think most people would accept it and the country would move on.
Instead of which he has chosen to have a police investigation which he trusted his old mate , Cressida would find him totally innocent of anything.
Certainly I would love to see him go and take madam Carrie and all her mates such as Ben and Zac with them. It would certainly be best for the countryside which they are intent on converting into a theme park

I think media and Bbc obsessed with Boris parties and deflecting attention from Ukraine.

While Boris was allegedly partying my father was dying with severe dementia in a home, none of the family could get in to see him and eventually when we could it was too late.

It certainly wasn’t trivial in this house and as far as I’m concerned the sooner Boris is gone the better

Unfortunately Nato is incredibly weak and ineffective, just like Europe. I fear the worst if europe/Nato actually had to organise to fight Russia. Their only real hope is economic ruin for Russia. However Europe will be in chaos without gas.
I am not so sure on this, we especially backed by the US have developed tactical air power. Russian forces rely heavily on armour which has been shown so often, totally defenceless against determined air and ground forces responding with anti tank weaponry.
The gas weapon is totally different!

I couldn't help but recall the footage of Chamberlain waving a piece of paper when Macron claimed he'd been given "personal assurances" by Putin... there's plenty of other parallels that can be drawn from that era such as opponents being imprisoned or dying under unusual circumstances, stifling of critical debate, persecution of minorities, annexations....

I suspect that the Ukrainians are going to have a record numbers of tourists arriving soon.

You do realise that you are just being fed CIA propaganda don't you? (For those with short memories remember Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction not to mention the lies about Libya).

There’s a lot of truth in the old saying Never believe everything you hear and only half of what you see

You know how we get pee'd off by people driving around our fields…… the videos of Russian tanks running about in open countryside chewing up one hell of a mess. Got to feel for the farmers caught up in that. I have a feeling if the Russians do invade it will be like the Afghan army all over again, lay down their (our 🙄) weapons and accept Russian rule. By pulling our troops out and the USA saying they will not field troops against Russia has in my opinion pulled the carpet out from the Ukrainians and given a green like to Putin.

Pretty sure Russia would not want to be embroiled in a war with the west and he knows that the US and others wouldn’t want to be involved in the Ukraine too much.
(All those resources there is what he’s after control of)

If Putin moves Wheat price goes up, fuel prices go up. fert prices go up... if he back away the opposite will take effect.. now is either the best time to be buying and holding off selling or the time to be selling and holding off on the buying... question is which :scratchhead:

Some NATO forces do practice Blitzkreig. The US Marine Corps for one. When they are in theatre friendly forces are briefed to get out of their way.
The Marines are notionally an "expeditionary force" - i.e. the first feet on the ground & are trained to be aggressive to clear the way for the "grunts" following on behind, so friendly forces should only ever be behind them... unfortunately it doesn't help when the leather necks get confused and point their guns in the wrong direction....
