As farmers we need to take charge of what we can do and what we do best,i call for all organisations to work together to cut out all the hangers on so we can produce as much essential food as we can.
We need to approach the government with a clear set of measures to help from increasing food security to aiding transport and storage to providing land for like mined to grow food ,Boris has enough on his plate so lets help where we can.

At this time of the year what foods to farmers actually produce? Genuine question.

Meat and dairy obviously and some stored veg and cereal that could be brought to the market now I guess.

Other than that I doubt much else can be available till July?

We could produce strawberries and cream in major quantities by late May- particularly when Wimbledon is cancelled.

Meat was already covered. I'm more asking what fruits and veg and the like we can produce instantly if the imports are going to stop very suddenly. I'm genuinely interested to know.

I don't think that Boris has much to do with it. It's all his "advisers" and civil servants building their own little fiefdoms that want to destabilise common sense to give themselves more power and getting income from their mates that then benefit.

Mushrooms. Colleagues of ours busy upping production, pretty quick turnaround. One of many, many food stuffs that we should never have exported the production of in the name of globalization. That experiment failed, as it always would, time to re-localize.
