This is a good one for starters!

Beautiful Ancient Roman mosaic floor found beneath a 1st century CE vineyard in the Italian province of Verona.

SNAP!

In 1811 my 7x great Grandfather found this while ploughing.
Story goes that he got fed up hitting a huge stone on every run, decided to dig it up and it was a fountain in the middle of a mosaic.... the rest is history....

Most valuable was a gold Saxon broach now in a museum

The Staffordshire hoard (worth millions) was found just a few hundred meters from our farm on a neighbours land ......... close but no cigar !

We also have a fantastic flint axe head found on a potato grader years ago
There was an Aurocks head found in a sand and gravel quarry next to the farm which was several 1000 years old,and a flint knife pre Roman. The LIDAR maps show a settlement or camp on a high part of the farm but cant get anyone interested in it.

My friendly metal detectorist found a Saxon broach in one of my fields. It’s in the bottom drawer at the very back of the British museums garden shed. We split the massive £150 payout between us :ROFLMAO:

A camera lens lost during a balloon landing, the finders reward as a primary age child was most generous, particularly as I found it within 30 seconds of starting my search 🤞 Also found an iphone... it was mine... 6 months of living outside had not been kind on it though :banghead: Usually though my finds are no more exciting than a large stone whilst ploughing or the remains of helium party balloon in the hedge.
