Your right, Id probably say the same if they had of drew the border line in the 20s up around Wexford ,Wicklow ,Waterford , Kilkenny,Tipperary, Limerick, but they didn't .
They did it in areas with a large unionist concentration from historical settlement, and your point is?
Ni is Britons problem for the foreseable future, sure they'll need to work with authorities here to sort out the issues of being island neighbours going in 2 differing directions. That will be about the height of Dublins involvement, as much as the shinners et/al might dislike it.

Now i don't get your point, should i feel bad for growing up south of the border or that i can't see a united ireland working in the foreseeable future?
I fail to see any benefit in a united Ireland at the moment(other than rugby, because i like rugby), can you? The idea of an Ireland being linked with Briton any further than normal neighbours wouldn't wash for a second for the majority in this country, maybe not for what would be a minority up north. Like f**k could it be afforded atm.
You were worried about the Glourious 12th etc.. a day or so ago, in this part of the world it means opening up of the slurry/fertiliser season tommorow is there any reason this needs to change?
Antares100, you know what i meant stop being an arse. Besides every irish person knows it's Wexico ffs.

Donno, you might have more success at that than pricking about pretending ye're not a failed mess of a state relying on the main land to fund the show. :dead::love::love::ROFLMAO:

What always amuses is me is why it's even called 'northern Ireland' or 'Ulster' or 'the province'
it is in fact none of these things, it is just six of Ulster's nine counties,
and northern Ireland is Co.Donegal, Malin head is the most northerly part of the island.
Brexit does leave those six counties and the remaining planters in a precarious position.
As long as we get to keep cash for ash, and march where ever we want, and have tea party's celebrating the royalty, then count me in for a united Ireland,
You 2 sure are strange bed fellows at times, don't worry Theresa reckons to have a plan, doubt it involves Dublin much though for Ni.(y)

We agree, that was my original point , :banghead:
Can you put it in words then , emoji's don't seem to have the same effect as pictures:snaphappy::woot:

Have you never heard of irony in the Republic of Wexford? or maybe you are too busy longingly trying to see the mythical mainland from Vinegar Hill.:scratchhead: scratch head

I just cant see how an internal Irish border with 350 crossing points can be the EU/UK frontier after brexit, it is unworkable in my opinion, I can't see the southern side being too worried about who crosses over so any immigrants can just fly legally into Dublin, then head into the six counties and get into Britain by the back door,
also the people in the six counties are Irish and can and do have Irish European passports, yet technically be living outside the EU? Irish passport applications from the six counties are increasing by the month.
mad stuff, add to that the possibility of customs checks/ passport checks etc after a hard brexit which looks more likely by the day,
I just can't see how the division of Ireland can continue, I'm sure the British don't need the headache of it and the fact it's costing the British 9 billion £ a year to prop up this basket case of a failed statelet.
I think it was something like 56% of the vote in the six counties was for remain,so I don't think it's right that the people there should be dragged out of the EU against their democratic wishes. reunification of ireland makes more sense than ever now in my opinion. it would be nice to see it done by the 100th anniversary of Irish independence.
