What sized slatted shed/ tank for 80 sucklers

What sized tank and depth would be required to house 80 suckler cows for 6 months?

They’d have calves on them till about January time but would be looking to make a calf creep area bedded on straw for the calves
I like the idea of them on cubicles with a slatted passage but none of them are cubicle trained so probably loose with comfort slats.

Just trying to work out how much the tank would cost by the size required for that many cows

I wasn’t expecting any change out of 80

Yeah you might get the tank for that, priced a 100x40 shed with tank and slats i the front half, pens in the back for calves at the highland. Guy reckoned it would be ball park £150k plus ground works, can tell you it was a good job the beer tent was open for I needed a stiff drink after that.

Price straw has got to in 10 years it will look a bargain
Suckler slurry probably thicker than dairy slurry. Do some research on how to add water if necessary & how to stir it

Best way to see what works is to see things in the flesh.

Only thing I would change is make the calf creep wider. Great when they first go in but gets tight by May when they’re 9-10mth old.

To be fair there is 10foot of tank outside the shed that i didnt include.

Are tanks like buildings, ware buildings height is cheep relative to area, with tanks is depth cost effective? Or does depth during completion, with strength and ground water etc?

I'd say 25m x 9m and 3m deep feed pass down either side.
