Where Are Birds Nesting On Your Farm?

I have to admire birds ingenuity, one dog I had, Jack Russell/Corgi, Once a week in Spring and Summer I rubbed her down wearing latex gloves, amazing amount of hair came off, just left it on the lawn in front of the house.

It wasn't until I emptied out a Bird Box did I learn where it went, nearly all the nest was white dog hair.
I hand strip our border terrier on the lawn, the sparrows love it, that and a hand full of wood pigeon breast feathers

A friend used to put his peregrine falcons out on their perches on the lawn to enjoy the sun. They were fed surplus dead day old chicks from a hatchery. The sparrows would come down to collecting the pluckings for nesting material within inches of the falcons! Familiarity breeds contempt indeed!

Don’t mess with Jenny wren 😂
Bad tempered little madams aren't they.

I was strimming some long grass in my garden today and a duck flew up from under my feet, she couldn't have left it a second longer before getting strimmed.
She was sitting on 10 eggs so I left the strimming. Magpies had the last lot, hopefully these have better luck.
She comes to my geese's pond, I only said to the missus yesterday when the duck flew into the pond that she must be sitting nearby and just come for a drink.

I saw a duck last week, sat stock still on a deep tractor wheeling full of water, she didn’t move a muscle so can only presume she was sitting near by,
